She read the following statement about LOVE which is taken from the well known scripture concerning Charity:
She led a discussion about how we, as sisters, are angels to one another.
She shared this example that she found online.

She encouraged us to be angels to ourselves and be good to ourselves. We had a little handout where we wrote down three people who have been angels to us personally. Then she had us write the names of three people whom we have been angels to. Someone in the class observed that hers were the same people. Mine were too!
The holy Ghost will comfort us, Testify to us, and inspire us. If we keep ourselves in tune and minimize distractions, we can hear his voice in our lives more often. We may have a prompting to write a note, or make a call..and should act upon those promptings.
She ended with the example of a man who wrote a thank you note every day for a year and then he wrote a book about it. You can read about him here:

Each of us were given a card to write a thank you on, and she encouraged us to keep writing them.
This is Gay Jackson...she moved from our stake three years ago, and is now living in Provo, where she is caring for her mother in law. She spoke about "Being Women of Faith"
She encouraged us to "choose" to believe. A good scriptural example is found in Alma 32:27, where we are taught to simply start with a desire to believe. We can ask for help from Heavenly Father. See Ether 12:6 Faith is things hoped for but not seen. A woman of faith cultivates an attitude of gratitude. She is obedient. When obedience becomes opur quest, it ceases to be a burden. A woman of faith develops her talents and shares them. It can be a simple thing like teaching a grandchild a skill....it can be sewing, listening, paintng, handwork, singing, or being a friend.
In the new Relief Society book, "Daughters In my Kingdom", page 45, we read these words from Eliza R. Snow," Tell the sisters to go forth and discharge their duties, in humnility and faithfulness and true spirit of God will rest upon them and they will be blessed in their labors. Let them seek for wisdom instead of power and they wil lhave all the power they have wisdom to exercise. "
Spencer W. Kimball, " Regardless of your particular circumstances, as you become more and more familiar with the truths of the scriptures, you will be more and more effective in keeping the second great commandment, to love your neighbor as yourself".

Back in the chapel, we were in for a treat....a beautiful vocal solo preceeded the main speaker. this was a beautiful song and the words were so good. I was able to find them online:

The keynote speaker, Sally Schmidt, followed the musical number. She started out with this statement :
"Our personal relationship to God, reflects our relationships to everyone else."
She used a lot of quotes and videos. I was able to locate several of them.

She planned her message around three words..."HAVE". "DO", and "BE". This is where we work from a lot of the time. Example: "When I have_________then I can DO_____, and then I will BE happy. She explained why it should be the other way around. BE, DO, and then we will HAVE.

Our own Jeanette....accomplished it again, with a wonderful luncheon. She says she has resigned from this assignment now. We shall see!
