April"For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you" (John 13:15)
Spring is here! We in the primary can tell because it's very hard for any of us to sit still when the sun is streaming through the windows and birds are singing outside. But we as teachers are trying our best to be good examples (but really - it's very, very hard for us adults to sit still). ;)
Our theme this month is Jesus Christ Teaches Me to Choose the Right. We will be learning all about our Savior; how He has been an example for us, how He has taught us the right way to live, and how each of us can partake of His love when we are more like Him. This is a perfect time to learn about all the Christ has done for us especially in this month that revolves around Easter.
This month is the Baptism Preview on the 15th for all our little ones who are turning eight. We will talk to them about why people are baptized, have others share their experiences of baptism, and we will even get a tour of the font and how it all works. (Plus there will be refreshments. Mmmm, so good.) If you haven't heard about this and you have a child turning eight this year, please feel free to give one of us in the presidency a call.
Last but not least, we want to thank all of our teachers. Each week we are told of teachers going the extra mile in one way or another. It means so much. They are so good with each of the classes and you can feel how much they love the children. There is no greater calling than a teacher. Thank you for all you do!
